Holding space for those navigating…
Therapy for Infertility
Infertility can be so incredibly isolating. You may find yourself feeling exhausted; having to exist in a world that continually shifts between hope and grief. You may feel overwhelmed with appointments, procedures, or the idea of “what comes next.”
Therapy for Pregnancy Loss
It can be really hard to put into words the way you may be feeling after experiencing this type of loss. This grief is complex and often comes with many layers. Maybe you never thought this would happen to you, or this is what feels like your worst fear coming true.
All forms of pregnancy and perinatal loss, including TFMR and stillbirth, are welcome here.
When your story transitions…
Maybe you have gotten a positive pregnancy test or given birth and feel overwhelmed with anxiety due to your experience with infertility/loss. Maybe you find yourself at a crossroads contemplating whether to continue fertility treatments or navigate living childless/childfree because of circumstance.
about Liz Moore, LMSW
I’m so glad you’re here.
It takes significant strength to reach out for support. My heart is in working with people who are navigating incredibly intense journeys involving infertility, perinatal loss, and life adjustment after these experiences. I know how important it is to feel like you have someone in your corner during these experiences.
My therapeutic style is different for everyone depending on what your needs are, but I often pull from a variety of treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Supportive Psychotherapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I aim to provide support with a specialized focus on infertility, grief work and advocacy education. My practice is open and inclusive to all including those navigating third-party reproduction as well as LGBTQIA+ communities. You are deserving of a space to exist with your story; free of judgement and full of compassion.
My hope is to create a safe space that allows clients to share their stories and work alongside them towards their healing; whatever that may look like. While I do not have all the answers, I can provide you with an empathetic, warm and honest approach - sprinkled with a little humor.
Education + Training
I received my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Michigan State University. I have completed advanced training for infertility under Sharon Covington and Dr. Linda Applegarth, as well as being a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). I also have advanced training through Postpartum Support International (PSI) related to perinatal mental health, extensive training related to perinatal loss, and a background in medical social work.
